Winery review: A blend of 35 % Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 15% Syrah, 10% Vermentino, and 20% Carignana this is a lightly perfumed wine with a strong herbal element. It is a ripe finely structured wine, with great acidity and orange flavors. A style of wine that will be better for a few more months, it should be drunk from late 2017.
My review: My first whiff of this wine was of peach and seemed like a full wine. When tasting it, it was so light that it almost seemed like water to me. It had a bit of a sour taste and had elements of butter like a biscuit. It was pretty OK, I could have gotten a bottle of this considering the huge sale, but eh, I'd rather just not bother.
I did not have this with food.
